About us
I really like the fact that the teaching is structured, rational and scientific.
There's a structured syllabus. The teaching seems to be founded on physics and
biomechanical principles, with practical demonstrations of what will (and won't)
work.
Its fun! Its challenging and at times bizarre, but in my experience
the regulars are friendly (and patient) training partners and the underlying
atmosphere is one of fun as well as learning. The workshops offer useful
insights/tasters of some of the more advanced
material.

A family class
The Newcastle Tai Chi school is run by Sifu and
Rachel Waller.
They offer an in-depth approach to baguazhang, chin na, jing,
kung fu, qigong, neigong,
self defence, shuai jiao and tai chi chuan.
Lessons cater for adults of all ages, martial and health-only.
The classes are very inclusive; welcoming all students who are eager to
learn.
Friendly
We cultivate an atmosphere of friendship, care and respect.
The students feel quite safe and comfortable with one another.
No matter what is happening in your life, the school remains a good place to be.
Working together
Sifu is responsible for designing the syllabus, the 1200 page
website and the tuition.
Rachel is in charge of registration, finance, planning and helping out in class.
Background
Sifu is from Bradford, West Yorkshire and has trained martial arts
for most of his life.
Rachel is from Kuching, Malaysia. She trained taekwondo as a teenager before
studying internal kung fu with Sifu.
