Couples & friends
I like the classes because I know I'm entering a healthy zone.
I've done a lot of travelling, learning, and philosophizing in my life and
what I like about your classes is their integrity.

Training together
It can be great fun for a couple to attend tai chi classes
together.
Freed from the daily cares of your lives, you can spend time with one another
whilst engaged in a productive activity.
As well as relaxing and having a laugh in class, there is always the possibility
of practicing at home between lessons.
Alternative health
Going to the gym, running and swimming is not for everyone - tai chi offers an alternative.
The training is not physically demanding at first but gradually grows in
difficulty as you progress.
All you need is motivation.
Niwa (pure place)
The training hall is a place where you can relax, have fun and learn.
It is not a place of violence and machismo.
The challenge of learning tai chi removes conflict, macho urges and
aggression.
A student learns how to move in a graceful, balanced, harmonious way whilst
maintaining composure at all times.
Stress relief
It is important to let go of stress, to relax and slow down.
The pressures of everyday life can easily make you feel tense and depressed.
Tai chi is an opportunity to take a break from how you normally operate.
Although the training is restful, it also invigorates you - leaving you feeling
calm yet alert.
Play
Many studies have proven that 'exuberant play' is the most effective learning
medium.
Students are free to relax and explore at their leisure.
The paradoxical physics associated with tai chi emphasises the importance
of relaxing and letting-go.
Play encourages this.
Social events
There are a couple of social events each year that couples/friends can attend.
Meeting people out of class can really help you to get along
with one another.
We are not interested in competitiveness and rivalry. We want fun, mutual
respect and friendship in class.
Why
bother learning an internal art?
There is more to life than buying goods, eating, sleeping, drinking alcohol
and watching TV.
You are more than this.
Tai chi and baguazhang train your body and mind to move in a graceful,
natural, healthy, functional way.
Strength, flexibility, vitality and good humour typically emerge.
Greater harmony and balance is found.
You look at life a little differently.
